Pre-Purchase Inspections & Warranty Repair

Know exactly what you are buying, and have your warranty claims handled by people who know these cars.

Family-owned since 1995Independent European specialistAlexandria, LA

A used European car can be the best deal in the lot or the most expensive mistake of your year, and the difference is rarely visible on a test drive. A pre-purchase inspection puts the car on our lift, on our scan tools, and in the hands of people who fix these exact problems every week.

We also welcome extended-warranty and third-party-warranty work. If you bought a policy, we will inspect the failure, document it the way the administrator needs, and get you back on the road. No drama, no upsell, just a straight answer on what the car actually needs.

What's included

Full Pre-Purchase Inspection (PPI)

A road test plus a lift inspection covering engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, leaks, tires, and underbody. We tell you what is wrong, what is coming, and roughly what it costs to fix.

Computer Scan & Stored Faults

We pull codes from every module, not just the engine light. Cleared codes, pending faults, and a history of resets often reveal what a seller would rather you not see.

Model-Specific Problem Checks

We look where these cars actually fail: BMW timing-chain and VANOS wear, Mercedes oil-filter-housing and valve-cover leaks, Audi and VW carbon buildup and timing components, Porsche IMS bearing and bore-scoring concerns on the applicable years, Land Rover air-suspension and oil leaks.

Honest Go / No-Go Guidance

You get a plain-English recommendation: buy it, walk away, or use it as leverage to negotiate. We have no stake in the sale, so the advice is yours alone.

Extended & Third-Party Warranty Repair

We diagnose the failure, photograph and document it, and work with your warranty administrator so covered repairs get approved and completed correctly.

Leak, Fluid & Service-History Review

We check for the slow leaks and skipped services that turn a clean-looking car into a money pit, and tell you whether the maintenance was really kept up.

Signs it's time to come in

  • You found a used European car and want an unbiased opinion before you sign
  • The seller says it 'just needs a small repair' and you want the truth
  • Dashboard warning lights that the seller cleared or cannot explain
  • Your extended-warranty company needs a shop to diagnose and document a claim
  • A dealer or private seller is rushing you to buy today
Dealer-level capability. Local-shop honesty.

A general used-car inspection checks fluids and kicks the tires. It will not catch a BMW timing chain stretching, a Mercedes oil-filter housing weeping, carbon-clogged Audi intake valves, or a Porsche with the wrong IMS bearing for its year. Those are the failures that cost thousands, and they are exactly what a European specialist is trained to find. We work on these marques every day, so we know the difference between normal age and an expensive problem hiding under a fresh detail job.

How it works

Call before you buy

Phone us at (318) 445-6007 with the car's year, make, model, and mileage. We will tell you what the inspection covers and set a time. There is no online form: a quick call gets it scheduled.

We inspect and document

Bring the car in, or arrange with the seller to drop it off. We road test it, put it on the lift, scan every module, and check the known weak points for that model.

You get a straight answer

We walk you through what we found, rank it by urgency and cost, and give a clear go or no-go. For warranty work, we handle the claim paperwork and the repair.

Common questions

How long does a pre-purchase inspection take?

Most take a few hours once the car is in our hands. Call ahead so we can reserve a lift and have a technician ready. If the seller can drop the car off in the morning, we can usually have answers for you the same day.

Can you do the inspection if the car is at a dealership or with a private seller?

Yes. The car needs to come to our shop at 3800 McKeithen Drive so we can put it on the lift and scan it properly. Many sellers will allow a buyer to bring the car in for an inspection, and we are glad to coordinate the timing with you over the phone.

Do you really work with extended and third-party warranties?

We do. Bring your policy details and we will diagnose the failure, document it the way your administrator requires, and complete any covered repair. We will also tell you honestly when something is not likely to be covered so there are no surprises.
